The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday declared that Ebubeagu members are not welcome in Igboland anymore.
IPOB in July put a bounty of N2 million on the head of the leader of Ebubeagu security outfit who allegedly led his men to kill 14 Otulu and Awo-Mmamma youths, who were returning from a traditional wedding of their friend in Imo State
However, IPOB in a statement signed by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, on Monday, said it was about to unleash its venom on Ebubeagu for the countless massacres of its people, especially in Imo.
IPOB alleged that members of Ebubeagu were drafted from militants from the Coastal part of Biafra (South-South), Fulani bandits and Igbo criminals. It also alleged that the objective of the creation of the outfit is not to stop criminal activities but to harass, intimidate and depopulate innocent Igbo youths.
According to the group, the Imo State people’s choice governor was removed by the Fulani-controlled judiciary in favour of Hope Uzodinma to do the dirty job of slaughtering their innocent youths and destroying their people’s property.
IPOB asserted that it has appealed to Governor Uzodinma to disband the group he created but that its appeals were futile.
The statement reads in part, “Following the incessant killing of innocent citizens in Imo state by the Ebubeagu militia formed by Supreme Court Administrator of Imo State Hope Uzodinma, we the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu wish to state unequivocally and openly to all and sundry that IPOB is about to unleash its venom on the terrorist Ebubeagu for the countless massacre of our people, especially in Imo state.
