Ireland: Biafran Community Honors Invitation, Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day.

Every year on March 17, the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.

The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB and the general Biafra family in Ireland honored the invitation extended to them to partake in this year’s (2016) edition of St. Patrick’s Day held on March 17, 2016.

Biafra and Ireland have a long standing relationship dating back to the time of the war of independence between Biafra and Nigeria in 1966 to 1970 where the Irish holy ghost fathers played a significant role in saving Biafra dieing children.
