Biafra Nationalist Nnamdi kanu Drags Nigerian Government To ECOWAS Court For Human Rights Abuses.

Nnamdi kanu Claims $800Million Dollars as Damages…

The currently detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has dragged the Nigerian Government to Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court for human rights abuses against the Nigerian Government.  

The plaintiff through his lawyer has accused the Nigerian Government and the Department of State Services (DSS) of illegal, and unlawful detention. Also part of the suit is that the plaintiff Nnamdi kanu is also accusing the Nigerian Government of genocidal acts of killing against the Indigenous People of Biafra in Aba, Onitsha and Portharcourt as well as the unlawful detention and incarceration of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

In the suit the plaintiff is seeking for Justice and claiming $800 Million dollars as compensation for the abuse of his human rights by Nigerian Government against all established laws and charter.

You will recall that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is championing the course for the independence of Biafra and its people from Nigeria, a mission he is currently being detained in Nigerian Prison even after 3 Court rulings has cleared him of any crime or charges. 

Biafra fought a 3 years bloody war of independence with Nigeria between 1967-1970 in which more than 3.5 million Biafrans were killed including 1million children starved to death by Nigerian Government policy of starvation and total economic blockade. 

The Indigenous People of Biafra has in recent times held several protests around the world inorder to drive home their demand and quest for independence from Nigeria.
